How To Help
Hi all supporters,
As a Rescue Fund, Watershed is trying to help Rescue Centres (financially and help with the rehoming of animals), who go the extra mile and believe every animal has a right to life.
We have started a little competition every month that will not only benefit struggling rescue centres in the future, but also benefit you, the community who are always so willing to try and help. This is our plan:
THE 100 CLUB
We need 100 participants to give R100 on a monthly debit into the Fund. If we can achieve this, we will be able to start the competition. (please send on to all your friends and colleagues). You can even divide the amount and get yourself and a friend to donate R50 each.
Every month there will be 4 winners: First prize R1000, 2nd prize R500, 3rd prize R300 and 4th prize R200. Winners will only come from a monthly draw of those 100 members to the 100 CLUB.
Now would this not be exciting to be part of this and know that you might be the lucky recipient to an amount of money that you did not bargain on! A nice treat! Once we have received the 100 members, we will list you and every month, the winners will be announced in a newsletter from Watershed so that we can all share in the delight and excitement as well as knowing that there is another R8000 that month that will be going towards caring for animals in South Africa, starting with the major strain on Uitsig Animal Rescue Centre, who takes the lead and welcomes every stray with open arms and helps so many other rescue workers and centres. You will also be updated in the newsletter every month what we have achieved with your generous help and which rescue centre, project in South Africa is benefitting from our 100 CLUB.
MASS STERILISATION AND THE 100 CLUB
We have also made a commitment to ourselves that within 5 years we would have got the Western Cape animal populations under control through ongoing sterilization programmes within the townships and communities. With the help of Uitsig Animal Rescue Centre, we are in the process of organizing local vets to come on board so that we can implement this 5-year plan in order to curb the amount of unwanted, unsterilised and abused animals entering the gates of rescue centres and in this way taking away the continual financial strains. With your help, we can extend our 5 year plan to all the provinces and work with Animal Outreach programmes in each province to get mass animal population under control.
HELPING IN EMERGENCIES AND THE 100 CLUB
We have also been able to, through the growing support to the 100 CLUB and other donations to the Fund, been able to assist financially and work hand-in-hand with AACL PE and Animal Outreach Initiatives to help the animals so sadly caught up in these disaster flood areas. Disaster areas such as Missionvale, where animals have suffered and endured devastating conditions, were able to get new blankets, food, kennels etc with the help of our 100 CLUB funding.
Watershed Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Fund works NATIONALLY and with your support, we can reach so many more areas that are in desperate need of either sterilizations, animal outreach programmes or removing abused and neglected animals. We can only do this if we in turn help and assist rescue centres that are willing to help us take in these destroyed souls to rehabilitate and make them whole once more. This task can be achieved with the 100 CLUB.
If you join, please reference “100 CLUB” and your NAME as your reference so that I know where to locate the funds. Also send me an email to say that you have joined up.
